WHAT IS MASS MAYHEM?
Mass Mayhem combines the best things in life…camaraderie, perspiration, teamwork, BBQ, and of course, beer! Mass Mayhem is designed for anyone interested in the physical challenge of running 3 or more miles, climbing over, through, or under a myriad of obstacles, and digging mud out of their ears! What is better than sharing that celebratory brew with a thousand of your closest friends and basking in the glow of beating the Mayhem!?!
Obstacles such as 10-foot walls, rope climbs, cargo nets, mud puddles, barbed wire, drainpipes, and tunnels will test your stamina. If you have an appetite to have your strength, agility and grit put to the test, then we have the perfect meal for you!
Mass Mayhem participants come from all walks of life – from weekend warriors, obstacle race enthusiasts, triathletes, and marathon runners! The one thing they all have in common is a desire to let loose and get a little crazy. There is no better place to fulfill that desire to challenge yourself, compete, and excel than a Mass Mayhem obstacle course. Our events sell out so don’t be a wallflower and hurry up and register!
We are not afraid to admit that we love fitness. We love the personal stories that many people have about how fitness has changed their lives for the better. We also love helping people. Having completed many obstacle course races, we decided that we would love nothing more than to combine our love for fitness and our desire to help others. With that, we created the organization Type One with a goal to bring lots of people together that share our passion to compete in fitness challenges, while we raise money to fund research to find a cure for type 1 diabetes. We have partnered with the Faustman Lab at Massachusetts General Hospital, and together we are determined to find a cure! It’s certainly a lofty goal, but we love those that dream big!
“Nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm.”
