Type One, LLC is a proud sponsor of Mass Mayhem. The company was founded with the sole purpose and objective to increase public awareness and to find a cure through research for type 1 diabetes. Type 1 diabetes is a disease that kills the pancreatic cells that normally produce insulin and is not a disease brought on by lifestyle choices. There are over 3 million people in the United States living with type 1 diabetes. That’s 3 million families and countless other friends and relatives affected by this disease. Type 1 diabetes doesn’t just change the life of those with the disease, but it also touches the lives of everyone that is involved in that person’s daily routine. Type One is on a mission to find a cure for this disease. 25 percent of the profits earned at events hosted by Type One shall be donated directly to research projects to find a cure for type 1 diabetes.

Type One is pleased to announce that through our donations, we will support the work being done at the Faustman Lab at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. Dr. Faustman’s current research continues to focus on uncovering new treatments for type 1 diabetes. Phase II is currently being planned of the BCG human clinical trial in type 1 that hopes to reverse diabetes. This is very promising research for type 1 diabetics and with each and every donation, we will be closer to a cure.
